Things people ask first.

Yes. Sprout will never charge families. No subscription, no freemium tier, no features locked behind a paywall. The app is MIT-licensed open source — anyone can verify that promise and hold us to it.
Sprout uses symbols from OpenSymbols, a library of thousands of free, open-licensed AAC images including ARASAAC and Mulberry symbols. A core set ships with the app so it works offline from day one.
We're targeting an early access release in 2026 on both iOS and Android. Waitlist members will get in first and may be invited to shape the app before public launch. Join the list above to stay in the loop.
Your child's data lives entirely on your device. Sprout requires no account to use. Nothing is sent to our servers unless you explicitly choose to back up or share a board. We collect no behavioral or usage data.
